blood and breadcrumbs
men leave trails of breadcrumbs
goading you to follow just a little.
foolish young women, who see just enough bread
to feed them a day, stay a life.
but bread doesn’t feed the soul.
fighting over meat, eat;
strange how bread runs faster than blood
two racing down the same track,
but finish in very different ways.
even after a while,
thick blood flows away.
draining all the bread,
leaving nothing but a trail
for you to follow again.
goading you to follow just a little.
foolish young women, who see just enough bread
to feed them a day, stay a life.
but bread doesn’t feed the soul.
fighting over meat, eat;
strange how bread runs faster than blood
two racing down the same track,
but finish in very different ways.
even after a while,
thick blood flows away.
draining all the bread,
leaving nothing but a trail
for you to follow again.

Upward and White
Cloudy days
More solemn than sad
Yet smiles over counters
Worth more than the pennies in our hand.
Dust on every page
Dogears litter
Stories through skies and seas.
More solemn than sad
Yet smiles over counters
Worth more than the pennies in our hand.
Dust on every page
Dogears litter
Stories through skies and seas.
Airheads
With heads full of tears.
Shape and shift
To fit the concaves of what we dream
Fear, love.
We mould the air,
To fit what we shape we find.
But they can never find the right shape
With heads full of tears.
Shape and shift
To fit the concaves of what we dream
Fear, love.
We mould the air,
To fit what we shape we find.
But they can never find the right shape
Till we peek a glance.
Doyouremember?
Doyouremember
The time we tried to take a picture
And you said
“My makeup isn’t nice”
But why make up,
Something that came from the heavens?
Doyouremember
The night we spent
Under the suns of planets
Of darkness
That never seemed so bright before.
Shooting stars
That fell for you
No harder than I did.
The time we tried to take a picture
And you said
“My makeup isn’t nice”
But why make up,
Something that came from the heavens?
Doyouremember
The night we spent
Under the suns of planets
Of darkness
That never seemed so bright before.
Shooting stars
That fell for you
No harder than I did.
Doyouremember
That day spent
On sands like silk
So rough yet I can only remember smooth.
Grains trailing through the finger gaps
Of hands that held so tightly to mine.
That day spent
On sands like silk
So rough yet I can only remember smooth.
Grains trailing through the finger gaps
Of hands that held so tightly to mine.
Doyouremember
The night we cried
Heart broken like glass
Seeing through
Cry that pierced that velvet night
Of darkness
That never seemed so dark before.
Tears flowed,
Which I swore only came from me
Cause the very next day,
Which I swore only came from me
Cause the very next day,
I saw no stained cheek.
Just a stained ego.
Just a stained ego.
Behind streaks of mascara.
Skin
Under your
Skin. Lies a multitude,
Of Smiles. Winks. Glances. Jealousy. Envy.
You act like you don’t care,
But your mask speaks otherwise.
Of Smiles. Winks. Glances. Jealousy. Envy.
You act like you don’t care,
But your mask speaks otherwise.
You like it, no need for bounce,
Yet gold perhaps required.
No tireless toil and labour,
To have stares thrown at you,
While they fly.
Yet gold perhaps required.
No tireless toil and labour,
To have stares thrown at you,
While they fly.
You drain just a little bit,
So they see a crack to fill,
Dig out just a little dirt.
So you appear a little deeper than what
So they see a crack to fill,
Dig out just a little dirt.
So you appear a little deeper than what
Your mask would suggest.
But dig out enough.
And those demons you swore you killed,
Those demons that stalked your days
That terrified your nights.
Those demons that stalked your days
That terrified your nights.
Like a drowning man,
Desperate for breath,
Desperate for breath,
Will come clawing up again.
Fate/Time
We lean on fate.
To right our paths, fight our wrongs.
That by some cosmic accident,
Lines will be straightened.
But time is merciless,
It cares little for fate or destiny.
Destiny may be on its way,
But time catches up too quick.
Too soon.
Lines.
When line collide,
When gradient merge,
Oh what joy
what joy!
For an encounter urge.
Like lovers in the desert,
Passion as hot as sand.
Like a juggernaut,
Unstoppable,
Unbreakable,
Unfazed.
Then shells began to rain.
So he dug a trench,
And her to own.
For groups do not fair well under fire.
So they hid, and waited, and dug.
Hid, waited, dug.
Hid, waited, dug.
Till one day, their trenches so deep,
They could not see the other.
As eyes lifted and gazed,
In the cold alone, they shudder.
His hands like shovels,
Digging to find a gap.
Yet all he sees is darkness,
And all his energy is sapped.
So he marches along his trench,
And she to march her own.
When line collide,
And gradient merge,
Oh what joy,
What joy!
But none, when lines diverge.
When gradient merge,
Oh what joy
what joy!
For an encounter urge.
Like lovers in the desert,
Passion as hot as sand.
Like a juggernaut,
Unstoppable,
Unbreakable,
Unfazed.
Then shells began to rain.
So he dug a trench,
And her to own.
For groups do not fair well under fire.
So they hid, and waited, and dug.
Hid, waited, dug.
Hid, waited, dug.
